General Questions
What is Slick Click’s Style of photography?
Natural. Working on location in your home, a hotel suite or your favorite scenic spot, we hope to capture you, your child or family as they are. The best pictures are those that capture genuine personalities, spontaneous expressions, and honest relationships. Whenever possible, we work by natural light because it brings a beauty to a face that only a light bulb could hope for. Despite our preferred photography style, we are here to serve your photography needs and are able to fulfill any aesthetic of your choosing. Just simply state the look and feel you are hoping to achieve while booking your shoot and we will make it happen.
When should I schedule?
The simple answer is, as soon as possible. If you are shooting for a special occasion and are needing a specific date for your shoot, or your prints by a specific time, the best way to ensure that is by booking as soon as you can. Please read over the FAQ for your desired session for scheduling tips and preferences.
Where will my shoot take place?
Your shoot can take place in a wide variety of places, depending on the type and style of shoot. These places may include your home, a local park, tourist locations, luxurious suites on and around the Las Vegas Strip, your hotel room, a hotel suite we provide and Las Vegas area landmarks. If you have a location in mind, please let us know. If you are looking for ideas, please check our list of popular locations. Please keep in mind that outdoor shoots are subject to availability and are weather permitting. They will be scheduled in the morning or afternoon hours, unless a night or sunset shoot is specified.
Do you provide hair and makeup for my session?
Slick Click Photography has a selection of professional stylists that we work with to make you feel as confident as possible for your session. Professional hair and makeup can be provided by one of our stylists for an additional fee. A few of our sessions include a stylist so please check your session's description. Stylists are subject to availability and fees are due when scheduling to secure a stylist for your session's date and time.
When and how can I pay for my session?
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session's date and time. Our session deposits vary and will depend on the type of session you are scheduling. Stylists fees are due when scheduling. Your deposit and stylist fees can be made online by visiting our Payment Page or over the phone by calling our office. You will receive your session's invoice by email and can pay your session's remaining balance at any time online by clicking the link in your invoice or in person on the day of your session. You can make your session deposit and stylist fee payment with any major credit card, debit card with a credit card logo or your Paypal account. Your remaining balance can be paid by credit card, debit card with a credit card logo, your Paypal account, money order, cashiers check or cash.
When can I see my images?
You can expect your images to be available for viewing approximately 7 -10 business days after your session. You will receive an email alerting you that your images are ready, and a link and password to view your images online. During your image viewing, you can choose the image/images to be used in your included print package. You may also choose to order additional prints or specialty items at that time. Directions on how to order your included prints and additional items can be found on your online viewing gallery's page when published.
How many edited images will be in my gallery?
Every session is different and it is difficult to put an exact number on a session prior to a shoot. The guideline that we normally advise people is to expect twenty professionally edited images in your viewing gallery for every hour of session time. You may end up with more, and usually do, but you will never have less.
How long do I have to choose my images for the prints that came with my session?
Your online gallery will remain active for 30-45 days, depending on the type of session. If we have not received your image order a week before it's due to expire, you'll receive an email to alert you. If we still have not received your image order by the date it is expected to expire, your image gallery will be deactivated and removed from our servers. If you inform us that you need a little extra time to choose your images, we'd be happy to leave your gallery up for you. However, if we do not hear anything from you we will have to remove your gallery to make room for the next gallery in line.
What happens to the items included in my session if my gallery expires and I haven't ordered my items?
If you had a session disc that was included in your session or was purchased when your session was scheduled, it will be processed and shipped to the address you provided us when scheduling your session. You may contact us to have your gallery reactivated within a year from the date of your session so that you may place an order. There is a $20 fee for reactivating an expired gallery that has been removed from our servers.
I have a special occasion and need to get my images as quick as possible. Is there any way to speed up the process?
Rush processing is available for an additional fee. Please check our Session Extras page for details and pricing.
I may want to reorder images at a later time. How long to I have to do this?
Slick Click Photography keeps all media in storage for exactly one year from the date of your session. At the end of that year's time, media is removed to make room for new sessions. We offer a lifetime media storage package for our clients. By upgrading to our lifetime media storage, your media will stay in our system and you can reorder images or photo gifts at any time. Information on this can be found on our Media Storage and Viewing page.
What is a Print Sheet and how do I place my order?
A description of our print sheets, as well as the other print services and photo gifts we offer can be found on our Session Extras page. Directions on how to order the items included in your session, as well as additional items and photo gifts, will be found on the top of your viewing gallery page.

Frequently Asked Portrait Session Questions
I have family coming into town next month. When should I schedule?
You should always schedule your session as soon as possible to ensure you get the date and time that is most convenient for you and your family.
My place is small and dark. Can I still schedule my session here?
We can accommodate whatever space you may have. We bring our portable studio with professional lighting to all in-home sessions. If there are a lot of members of your family and you are worried about space, we can use your yard to grab some family pictures. If you'd like to try something different, check out our Park sessions or other locations that are listed on our Portrait Session page.
What should we wear?
Generally speaking, you may wear whatever you’d like. After all, this is your session. However, we can share some helpful hints to help you get the most out of your pictures. Decide on the portrait style you wish to capture - fun and contemporary, or clean and classic. You should choose clothing that represents your personality. This may mean wearing bright, vivid colors or gentle pastels. With either choice, we recommend mostly solid colors in clothing. Avoid plaids, bold stripes, or large logos, as they can be distracting and may make your photos appear “too busy”. For family portrait sessions, please make sure everyone is wearing similar colors and styles. Jewelry and accessories should be minimal.
My son/daughter has trouble holding still and I'm worried about getting good pictures. What can I do?
Usually, the only people nervous about an active kid in a photo session are parents (which is normal) and employees of stiff portrait studios. Unlike traditional photo studios, we believe that letting your child be themselves is what allows us to capture the images that you will cherish the most. While you may miss out on the fake poses and forced smiles that you would have gotten somewhere else, what we will be able to provide are images that truly express your child's personality. If you truly are worried that none of your pictures will turn out the way you'd like, please mention your concern when scheduling your session. While all of our photographers are great, we will be sure to schedule one of our master photographers who has children of her own and history of working with children.
Frequently Asked Maternity Questions
When should I schedule my session?
Maternity sessions can be scheduled at any time, however, the 7th and 8th months of pregnancy are optimal for the best belly shots. We suggest scheduling your session as soon as possible to ensure you get that date and time you are needing.
Are my husband/boyfriend and other family allowed in my maternity session?
You are able to include anyone that you would like in your maternity session and we encourage including the baby's father and siblings to join in, however, the focus of your session will be on your belly and the baby. If you are wanting to focus more on family photos, it would probably be best for you to schedule one our our portrait sessions.
What should I wear?
What your wear during your maternity session is completely up to you, as everyone has a different look they are aiming for. You can feel comfortable wearing as much or as little as you'd like and may even request a female photographer. Just be sure to advise us when scheduling as to what your preferences are so that we can be prepared for your session day. On your session day, please try to avoid wearing tight fitting clothing, tight undergarments and clothing items with tight elastic. These items tend to leave indentations on skin in areas we like to photograph bare.
Can you edit out my stretchmarks?
We edit all of our maternity images to the best of our ability without compromising the quality of your image. Any bruising, stretch marks, dry skin, moles and blemishes will be removed at your request. There are other enhancements that are made to our images the reduce the look of stretch marks. However, sometimes an image can be "over-edited" and we like to make sure that doesn't happen to you.
Frequently Asked Newborn Session Questions
How can I secure my newborn session if my baby hasn't been born yet?
It's simple! Schedule your newborn session with your due date. Once your little one arrives, give us a call and we'll secure your exact date at time. The suggested day for your newborn session would be between 3-5 days from birth but we schedule newborn sessions for little ones up to 2 weeks old.
I'm interested in a birth photography session, but what happens if I go into premature labor?
If you go into premature labor and you do not have a photographer on call, we've got you covered! If a photographer is available and is able to make it to the hospital in time you'll still have your session. If not, your session will be converted to your choice of either of the other two newborn sessions that we offer. Same applies to birth sessions where the photographer is asked to leave the hospital room due to an emergency with either mom or baby. All of this will be covered in detail during your pre-birth consultation.
I just scheduled my newborn session. Do you have any tips for session day?
We understand that all babies have different schedules that naturally occur and we try our best to accommodate those. There are some things we have found that make newborn sessions a little easier on both the baby and parents. These include ways to keep your baby warm and comfortable during the session. You will receive an email with a list of tips for your session day once your little one has arrived. If you'd like to receive this email sooner, just let us know and we'd be happy to send it over.
Frequently Asked Boudoir Session Questions
Do you have any lingerie and/or heels that I can use during my session?
We have a small selection of lingerie, heels and jewelry that we can bring for your use. Please send us an email to customerservice@slickclickphotography.com with your sizes so we can be sure to bring appropriate items for your session.
Can I have a friend stay with me during my session?
You are welcome to have anyone present during your session that you'd like. Please keep in mind that it is normal for you to be nervous and that your nerves will slowly fade as the session progresses. It has been our experience that having extra people, such as boyfriend/husband/friends, around during your sessions can hinder you and actually can cause your nerves to increase rather than help you. These sessions are always a ton of fun, and while we don't suggest inviting others to tag along, we will accommodate whatever makes you most comfortable.
Can your stylist stay during my session for touch ups?
Our stylist is willing to stay during your session for touch ups for an additional fee. Having an extra person around can sometimes increase nerves and so we generally don't see a need for this nor suggest it. The only time having a stylist stay really comes in handy is if you are aiming for two completely different looks in your images that would require a stylist to redo your hair and makeup.
Is the photographer the only person in the room with me during my session?
Yes.
Our boudoir photographers are all female and your photographer will be the only person in the room with you during your session. Your photographer's assistant may, or may not, be male and will assist the photographer in the set up and break down of any lighting or backdrops that are needed. During your session, however, the assistant will be waiting in another room.
A bunch of us girls are thinking of getting together for a sexy style of shoot. Do you offer such a thing?
Yes.
We are currently in the process of putting a page together that is dedicated to boudoir style party sessions. These sessions are a blast and can be scheduled to celebrate any occasion or just for a sexy fun time. Contact us for current details and pricing. Our dedicated webpage will be arriving soon so stay tuned, but scheduling can start now.
